Collection: The Garden

The garden has become every bit as important to me as the house.

I think of it as another series of rooms — places to wander, work, entertain, eat, sit quietly and watch the seasons change.

I love the structure of clipped box, the generosity of hydrangeas, pots of lavender, alliums rising through borders and terracotta that looks as though it has weathered outdoors for decades.

But gardening, of course, is not only about the beautiful moments.

There is weeding, feeding, clipping, watering and endless pottering. I can quite happily still be outside late in the evening with a hose in my hand, checking the hydrangeas or noticing one final job that needs doing.
